Working with Pernilla Ohrstedt Studio, for the River Cafe’s 30th Birthday, I wrote an online tool to prototype the behaviour of a 6 segment neon sign and built a box to control the neon lights.

The online tool allowed you select permuations and durations to create animation sequences, these were then directly tranfered to an Arduino. The permuations were stored in a MongoDB database and I wrote a couple of small scripts to go between the online and real versions.

The enclosure contained an OLED display and a push encoder to fine tweak the global speed and different modes.
